Agreement with municipality / police

About "Fukushima Prefectural Police" x "Compass" Initiatives

On April 16, 2018, the Japan Mountain Guides Association and the Fukushima Prefectural Police signed an agreement to allow access to TOZAN-TODOKE submitted through Compass, with the aim of raising awareness of safe Climbing and quickly responding to mountain accidents. This agreement stipulates that access to the Compass TOZAN-TODOKE system and access to registered TOZAN-TODOKE can be used for rescue and search activities.


Fukushima Prefecture is home to many distinctive mountains, including the 100 most famous mountains in Japan. In addition, there are mountains in Fukushima Prefecture that have been selected as one of the 100 Famous peaks in Fukushima, and they are popular with many Climbing. The nature of Fukushima Prefecture is such that beginners and veteran climbers can enjoy Climbing and full-scale Climbing while enjoying the changing natural scenery throughout the seasons. Enjoy the mountains and nature safely and with peace of mind. This is something that each Climbing should keep in mind, make a solid TOZAN-TODOKE, share that Plan with family and friends, prepare food, equipment, and other portable items, and be in good health. If you become unwell or the weather suddenly changes during Climbing, you may need to decide to immediately stop Climbing. In addition, there are many opportunities to encounter wild animals such as bears in the prefecture, so please be sure to be prepared and enjoy Climbing.
